West Orange High School is home to three Jazz Ensembles; Jazz I Jazz II and Jazz Lab. The Jazz I and II Ensembles perform in competitions throughout the state, the annual District Jazz Concert, and many district and local functions, as well as the annual Spring Music Department Trip. Jazz Lab is designed for younger students or students new to the Jazz idiom. Participation in jazz ensemble is by audition and there are no costs or fees to be part of any ensemble. Auditions are usually held prior to Thanksgiving and are open to anyone in the school.
